Membership of the East Coast Ladies Kennel Association is open to anyone with an
interest in pedigree dogs and the associated activities enjoyed by many owners.
We welcome new members. We have many members who enjoy receiving our newsletter ( ECLKA NEWSLINE) which usually features results from our latest Show or Ribbon Parade, news of upcoming events etc. July 2005 saw the advent of our ECLKA NEWS ON-LINE when we created a Yahoo Group for members. If you are interested in showing your dog at Open or Championship level, you must be a member of the NZ Kennel Club and a regional club such as the East Coast Ladies Kennel Association. This is also obligatory if you are planning to breed your dog. NZKC membership is not necessary to show at Ribbon Parades, which many of our members enjoy. Spayed and neutered dogs/bitches may now be shown at Open Shows as well as Ribbon Parades. |
E.C.L.K.A. DOG OF THE YEAR AWARD Commencing with the 2002-2003 year, we have presented this award to the member-owned dog winning the greatest number of points at the Association's Ribbon Parades and Shows throughout the year. Points are being awarded for Best of Breed, Reserve of Breed, Group, On Parade & In Show wins. (Please note: you must be financial for your dog to be eligible for this award!) |
MEMBERSHIP FEES Single Membership $7 per annum Family Membership $10 per annum (Our year runs from June 1st - May 31st) |
